AAPT Web File Structure These files and directories exist on your AAPT Web site by default. Root directory The directory level indicated by / is effectively your root directory. You can not access the system directories above this level. This directory, and everything contained within it, is referred to as the cage. Your root directory contains several system directories. While you can view these directories you can not alter them in any way. You do not need to use or even know anything about these directories and their functions to use your AAPT Web . The directory login (named after your login name) is the directory containing files and directories you will use and contains the following directories:
The directory home/login is your home directory. This is the directory to use for all your personal or general files that are not for display as part of your Web site. The directory your.domain.name (named after your AAPT Web Service domain name) contains all files and directories associated with your AAPT Web Service. The your.domain.name directory The your.domain.name/ directory is the root directory for your Web system and contains the following subdirectories:

The htdocs directory is where you will copy all your Web files (for example, html) for your VWS site. A holding welcome page, called index.html, is produced automatically. Please replace this with your own home page, which should also be labelled index.html, as soon as possible. Other sample files provided include a simple form called comments.html, which you can use to enable your Web visitors to send comments to you via the Web interface, and an imagemap sample called maps.html.
