Access Logs - NT

All NT AAPT Web sites come with Analog, a flexible application for delivering useful statistics about your web site. Analog indicates how many hits each file in your web site is receiving providing you valuable feedback on how successful your site is and tracking the most popular pages.

Some of the benefits of Analog include:

  • It's significantly faster than many other web analysis tools.
  • It's easy to install and run.
  • It's very flexible providing over 180 options producing 17 different reports.
  • HTML-compliant output (so can be read on any browser) in 12 different languages, and 3 formats.
  • It's free (under the conditions of the licence).

There are two sets of log files for your site:

  • An HTML representation of your logs under /htdocs/logs.
  • A set of raw IIS logs which are used for accounting purposes under your /logs directory.

htdocs/logs

You can view the HTML representation of your log files at the URL http://www.yourdomain.com.au/logs/

/logs

The files stored here are IIS Raw log output and are used for accounting purposes. Each file covers logs for one week.

NOTE: Due to the nature of our NT hosting solution, the full range of log "information" is not available. We are unable to provide details of the source of requests. (Eg. Originator country / IP) This is a side effect of our security model, and will not change in the near future. (This information IS available on our UNIX web sites)

Log information that is available includes: General Summary: Monthly Report: Daily Summary: Hourly Summary: Directory Report: File Type Report: File Size Report: Status Code Report: Request Report
