Finding help

These files are also available from the Excite web site.
Please take a few moments to review these files before you begin and
refer to them first for any queries you may have.
Please note that Excite is a free unsupported product, both by AAPT and Excite. If you are having problems with your

Other Suggested pages to visit are:
Excite is known to have difficulties indexing html pages with "non-standard" HTML code. If you are having difficulties indexing
your site, you can test the Excite engine by telling it to index your logs directory. This directory is a good choice
because all the pages use standard HTML. To do this, you would put in a path similar to:
/import/clients/first letter/login/your_domain/htdocs/logs
into the section labelled "Index the files and directories listed here: " on the collection configuration form.
If this location indexes successfully, you can be sure that your Excite installation is operational.
