Setting up your email using
Microsoft Internet Mail
It is very important that your email client software is correctly set up to work with your account. If it isn't you may be unable to send or receive email. If you experience problems with your email, please work through this sheet first. If you continue to have difficulties, contact AAPT Support.

About your email address


Your email address is of the form: username@yourdomain.com.au

Setting up Microsoft Internet Mail Version 4.70


  1. Open Microsoft Internet Mail
  2. From the Mail menu, select Options.
  3. Select the Server tab.
  4. Click the Advanced Settings...button.
  5. Click the OK button to close the Mail Server Advanced Settings window.
  6. Click the Connection tab.
  7. Click the Apply button to apply these settings.
  8. Click the OK button to close the Options window and save your settings.

For more information about using Internet Mail, open the Help menu then click on Microsoft on the Web, then select Online Support from the pop-out menu. This will take you to the Microsoft Online Support pages. Scroll down the Support Online menu and select Internet Mail and News.
