Email Configuration for Calypso Emailer
Setting up Calypso V3.x
1. Double click on Calypso.exe.
2. Select the button called Create a new Mailbox.
3. Select the button called Next.
4. In the field called Enter a name for the
Calypso mailbox type in a name that you can remember e.g., AAPT
5. Place a tick in the box below called Place
a shortcut to this mailbox on the desktop.
6. Select the button called Next.
7. The next screen is optional, you do NOT need
to type in your password here. This section is only used if you dont want
anyone to be able to read your email on your computer.
8. Select the button called Next.
9. Place a tick in the box called Make Calypso
your default e-mail program.
10. Select the button called Next.
11. Enter a name for your email account e.g.,
my connect account.
12 Type in your real name e.g., Joe Citizen.
13 Type in your e-mail address e.g., username@yourdomain.com.au.
14. Select the button called Next.
15. Select the radio button called POP3.
16. Type in your username in the field
called UserID on incoming mailserver.
17 Type in mail.yourdomain
in the field called Name of incoming mailserver.
18 Select the button called Next.
19. Password authentication should be
set to Normal.
20. Type in your password in the two boxes provided.
21 Leave the two bottom boxes blank and
select the button called Next.
22. Select the radio button called Delete
message from mailserver after it is retrieved.
23. Select the button called Next.
24. In the field called Name of SMTP mailserver
type in mail.yourdomain
25. The box below should be set to [None].
26. Select the button called Next.
27. Select the button called Finish.
Reconfiguring Calypso V3.x
If you have migrated from another Internet Service Provider you will
need to reconfigure Calypso.

1. Open Calypso and highlight the account that
you want to reconfigure.

2. Select Mailbox menu, Accounts, Properties
and the name of the account you want to change.

3. Select the tab called Account Status
and type in your new email address.

4. In the area called Incoming Mail Server
the field called Type requires POP3 to be selected.
5. In the field called User ID type in
your username.
6. In the field called Server name type
in mail.yourmailserver.com.au.
7. In the field called Password authentication
it should be set to Normal
8. In the area called Outgoing Mail Server
the field called Type requires SMTP to be selected.
9. Click the button called OK and Calypso
is reconfigured.
