- Type username@yourmailserver.com.au
in the User name field,
- Type your password in the Password field.
- Leave the Domain field blank.
- If you want Dial-Up Networking to remember your password the next time
you dial in and connect, click on the Save password box. You should
only do this if your computer is stored very securely.
- Click on OK to connect to your account.
The modem should then dial in and make a connection to our system. The
modem will make a series of squelching noises. This is called handshaking
and is normal. When connected you can run Internet programs such as Netscape
Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer to browse the web.
Remember that you are billed for the time that your connection is open.
Please ensure that you close your connection when you have finished.
Problems?
If you have followed
these steps carefully but are experiencing problems, try removing all dial-up
software and working through the process again.
If you still cannot make the connection, please call Dialup Support (Enternet, ConnectNet or Smartchat)
on 1300 73 2222 or (if you can) send email to support@connect.com.au.
Ensure you have your username, password and secret word handy when you call.
