Changing Your Password in Windows 95/98
It is good security practice to change your password
from time to time. Use the online Account Management Tools to quickly and
easily select a new password then insert this new password in your dialer
software. Following are instructions for changing your password in Windows
95.
Changing your password using Windows 95/98 Dial-up Networking

Ensure your modem is set up ready to make a connection.

In the Windows 95 desktop, double click on the My Computer icon.

In the My Computer window, double click on the Dial-Up Networking
icon.

In the Dial-Up Networking window double click on the Enternet
icon.

In the Password field, type your new password. The password is displayed
as asterisks on-screen to keep your password private.

Click once in the box to display a tick beside Save password.

Click on the Connect button to make a connection.
The modem dials in and makes your connection. It is important that you
make the connection to ensure your password is correctly entered and accepted.
If you receive errors, try entering the password again, taking special
care that you are using the correct case. When the connection has been
made successfully, your Windows 95 dial-up networking is updated to use
your new password for all future connections.
